Mission Statement
The Roman Catholic Community of Saint Valentine is called to be a visible sign of God's presence in the world. Through the celebration of the sacraments, especially through reconciliation and the Eucharist, we are sent out to proclaim and witness the Gospel by our lives.
We are therefore dedicated to serving others within our church, local communities, and throughout the world. By loving God, neighbor, and self, we deepen our response to the Lord and announce the Good News of salvation through Jesus Christ.
December Saints
Our Lady of Guadalupe - December 12
The Virgin Mary appeared to Saint Juan Diego in December 1531, asking for a church to be built on the Hill of Tepeyac in Mexico. He was instructed to gather roses in his tilma, or cloak, and go to Archbishop Zumárraga. When he opened his tilma the flowers fell to the floor, revealing the image of the Virgin of Guadalupe. The feast day for this event is December 12. An image of Our Lady can be found at the back of the church on the right-hand side as you exit. Our Lady of Guadalupe was declared patroness of America in 1945 and of Mexico in 2018. Please visit our website for more information about Our Lady Guadalupe and Saint Juan Diego.

Saint John of the Cross - Feast Day December 14
John of the Cross and he is one of thirty-six doctors of the church. His feast Day is December 14th and the stained glass window of him in our Church is found in the choir side transept.

One of the four Gospel writers. This stained glass can be found in the sanctuary of our church with the other Gospel writers.
